Can someone recommend some nice and simple of those black rubber bands on eBay, to use with my iPod Classic and future C421? Not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but I see a lot of those things in pictures here... Thanks!

Grado Shadow Ipod rig.
Not recommended for tight pants or libraries.
These sound great together but do not play very loud.

But that thing has to be constantly sticked/glued to the iPod and to the C421 (one part in each), no? I was looking for something I could take off when no using them together, leaving them in "stock" form...

bloody awesome! Are the 50s stock?

No
This is my take on the BMF 8.1 mod with HM5 pads. Plus these are tuned for a friend who is a bass head (his favorite cans are the D7000) who mostly uses a portable set up (sFlo2). So I "opened" half of a bass port and used less cotton inside the cups. So far they sound good out of the nano while the sFlo2 built in amp tightens the bass and makes the soundstage more coherent.

Hows about using large ish rubber O rings from the plumming section of a hardware shop. I have been using them for a while with success:

I use a thinner smaller one around the amp to seperate it slightly from the ipod - stops them 'grating' together. Followed by a larger one around them both. Simple and cheap.
