Hello everyone,
I´m not really "new" to head fi but this is my first post.
I just wanted to share my little portable setup :)

I use: iPod touch 4g -> Fiio L9 -> Jdslabs c421 (ad 8620) ->Triple fi 10 (recabled)

I am seriously considering one of those 421s and a pair of PK1s as a portable rig.

Has anyone tried that pairing yet? The PK1s need a lot of oomph to sound their best, and the form factor of the 421 seems perfect.

Sublime.  I had the OPA2227 and now the AD860.  The PK1 excels with both and is driven very, very well, and I have the gain switch on low.

I finally was able to get a 2Stepdance and look forward to comparing the two.

I really like the sound of the c421 and it also pairs pretty well with my Akg K550, but there are two different choices of opamps, one is the ad8620 (the one that I got and also really like) and and the other is the OPA 2227. So you have to decide which one fits your needs the best :wink:

Which one did you like more and why with the PK1?

If you're referring to strictly the C421, I found the OPA2227 too forward sounding with the already forward sounding (IMO) PK1. Also, the AD860 pulls out more details that just sounds great with the PK1.  If you're referring to the C421 and 2Stepdance, I'm still waiting on delivery for the later.

Portable rig of the day.
I just modified a friends T50's and trying them out. Mine are now dual entry, but I kind of wish I left them single sided as this is super comfy. No cables to get hooked on anything.
