Well close to half of the IEM are samples but all are kept as reference. My favorite at the moment is HM801 -> RE262, though I do try to listen to about 10 pair of them in active rotation and try not to affix to any one pair.

Upgraded rig, with HeadRoom Portable Micro and a DIM-IC (Did-it-myself interconnect). You can see the black leather man-purse used to contain this thing.
I have yet to seriously evaluate the 'improvements'. Yes it sounds different, but it may be just volume. Now, on what I believe is equal volume, the Coppers amped have more bass (more quantity yet denser with a heavier punch), better vocal imaging (among all my past rigs, this is the one with Nelly Furtado having the most 'in front of me' feeling) and maybe clearer highs. Maybe the details are better. All this is in a little 15-minute session right after I have finished soldering that cable. The whole things sounds a bit more balanced and natural. I should do some serious listening tomorrow.
Also a thousand sorrys for the bad pics. Look at the whole thing: late evening, red tablecloth, all yellow lights being a mix of incandescent and 'energy savers', F/2.8-S13 on AWB. Throw 'too lazy to do a MWB' and you have a delicious pot of disaster. Also that big bunch of shade on the last pic is the camera lens: I posed the camera directly on the table, flash on.
Enjoy.

That's great DIY work there! I envy those who are good at electrical work, it must be so much fun making your own stuff!
BTW, love the forum name, big fan of Bub's myself!
Got to meet the boys earlier this year, great bunch of folks!
Thanks bud. I've been working in the electronics world for the better part of my life, and the audio industry for the last 7, which gives me great access to wire, connectors and tooling, makes diy alot easier!
Also thanks for getting the trailer park boys reference, I was wondering if anyone would, thumbs up!
