Nice sculpture, would you be a carpenter by any change or was this just your hobby, would definitely recommend taking it up as a profession, as you are so expert with this.

No, woodworking is strictly a hobby for me. Doing it on a more professional level wouldn't work out since my interest in it fluctuates. Thanks for the compliment though.

I have been dying to post these pics to see what you guys think. I unfortunately had to sell this rig at the end of last year because I needed to fly home, but I'm busy working on a far superior one:wink: The gear: Rockboxed ipod mini with 2000mah battery and 8gb cf card, I flushed the top where the jack usually goes by cutting another ipod housing up:wink: Wooden click wheel is mahogany and honestly is more resposive than the original. Centre menu button is also aluminium from the old ipod housing. Amp is an iBasso P3 Heron with wooden volume and on/off switch (occasionally switched to the perpex faceplate for the P3 which looked cool in the dark). Made all the cables from solid silver terminated with neutrik gold plugs. Solder was 4.7% silver (highest I could find). The cups for the audio technica's are also solid mahogany- although I use the SE530 all the time- just bought these for the look. Also made a box for the whole rig out of a chunk of mahogany but I can't find the pics- I'll have a better look and post later:wink: Batman clip was a mission to make but looks pretty cool- cut from sheet metal- inside is velt lined and holds ipod and amp snuggly:wink: Hope you like:)

Oh man now that's a beautiful rig right there. The wheel grain matching with the cups is perfect. The Batman clip is mad good! And it's all colour coordinated. It's great to see other woodworkers on head-fi.:allteeth:
I'm not sure about the large cone knobs. Why soo large and how hard is it to adjust them?

I have never held one, it just looks a bit large. No comment on quality.

You don't want to, my 8 year old cousin can solder better than whoever soldered the HiFiMan innards i saw pictures of, It's just an overpriced pipe dream.
