Pictures of Your Portable Rig [Part XIII]

I like the small size of the NuForce amp but am not fond of the rubber band going around a touch screen.
Coupled with a LOD,I found the iPod Touch to be reduced in pocketability.
I like the Touch when there is access to wireless and when I have serious time to kill.

I actually had a JVC Boombox in the '80's and later,a waterproof Sony Walkman Cassette Player.
Now I just purchased a Sansa Fuze and will pair it with another 'slim' amp from ALO or iBasso.
Any word on the Pico slim?
I'll keep the NuForce in the stable for it's small size.
Looking for custom interconnects and custom Westones are on the way.
When I am on the go,I want the best sound but portability and convenience are must haves and I couldn't get that from the Touch+amp.

So,I have been bitten by the sound bug once again!

I could be wrong, but I don't think that it is double amped.

My guess is that he has a V-cap or something similar between the iPod and the Amp.

I see that you have a Sennheiser HD 218... but foamless? Can I see the pics please?

By foamless I mean the simple mod done by taking out the central oval foam... I think that credits go to astroid for discovering this mod on the HD228. Works well on the 218 too. So, "foamless" is just this.... (sorry for the bad pic...)

5GiPod.jpg

I recently acquired the 5G iPod from CL for a price too good to pass up, especially considering the near-perfect condition of the device. 60GB is perfect for storing my flac content.

It is definitely a vcap but what I am unsure of is what kind of cable it is...it has the shielding of picollino but it is too thick so my guess is it may be picollo or the crystallino stuff.

I would take a pic of my RCA pearl setup but it's a sight for sore eyes. But I can do one when I get my clip in the mail

It p-Vcap from SK and those are Crystal Cable Reference which is higer grade and bigger awg than picollino or crystallino. But darkkopi sold off his rig quite some time ago..
