Bro, I also got mine from japan on July and the price is the same
Hi, lucky for you.:smile_phones: July they have promotion when i checked online.

I since mid August the price was selling 29.xxxYen to 32,xxxYen.
But i only check the price from Yodobashi, E-earphone and Biccamera because I was travel to Japan therefore if buy from online is not convenience for me.
And i have tax free 8% plus paid with Visa card 5% in total 13% discount, so i bought lower than 27,xxxYen

I also owned the DX90 but i think the implementation of Sabre in the DP-S1 is better. The DX90 for me was too cold and analytic. But also a great DAP
The latest Rockbox port for the DX90 is finally stable, so it is hard to touch it in terms of SQ, but I must say the little DP-S1 is holding it's own. Sound stage where the DX90 still has an edge, but factoring in the lack of TRRS, (the balanced port has more power and a bit more clear), nonexistent battery life, form factor and lack of any wireless support leaves the later far behind.

I wonder if anyone else is experiencing problems with the Rubato, when resuming playback on restart. Often I have problems after the player was powered down, and resume playback. Either there's no sound, or the album resumed would not continue playing after the track played last, would finish. I'm not sure if it is the player, or the SD card is beginning to develop bad sectors. When I experience this problem, I have to power down the player and restart it, reload the album I want to hear to get it working again. I have to mention that I transferred this SD card to the Rubato from another DAP, and it has been used for over a year now (the SD card). Sandisk does not reveal any errors.

The Pioneer and Onkyo have different shape. Generally same size but one of the Pioneer corners is angled while the Onkyo is normal.

Also the slide to lock switches on the side are different and in slightly different spots.
