  • “Resume” function.
*Re-start from the beginning of last song after Turn off and on.
This is from the September 12 2017 firmware update. For the life of me, I can't find how to enable this feature. Having to navigate back into albums or artists after powering off. What am I missing?

Loving the DAP BTW.

Turn it off while a song is playing, next time you turn it on you will see the song and album art at the bottom of the screen, tapping that makes the song start from the beginning.

Thanks! I'll give it a go.

Got to try this tonight (twice). Didn't work. Held down the power button while a song was playing and did a complete shut down. Turned it back on after a couple of minutes and only saw the regular screen (after it syncs the cards). Using firmware version 1.21. Guess I'll just have to live with it unless you know of something else to try.

Maybe turn off Auto-synch.

Success! Domo arigato!
Cool. Yeah, as soon as you mentioned that in the boot-up... thanks for doing that.

Great little DAP. Enjoy!

Hello,
can anybody give me a hint für the pathes in m3u playlists for sd cards? Have a look below....
When I try to import playlists, I will get an error with no more information...
Thank you very much

Hello,
does anybody know how to set path in playlist for Pioneer XDP-30R?
I tried several pathes for sd cards, but importing playlist will result in an error.
For example:
/sd1/Blues/Thorbjorn Risager and The Black Tornado/Songs From The Road_HiRes_FLAC_24bit_44100Hz/1-02_Thorbjorn Risager and The Black Tornado_Paradise.flac
/sd2/Blues/Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble/Couldn't Stand The Weather (Remastered)_HiRes_FLAC_24bit_88200Hz/1-06_Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble_Tin Pan Alley (AKA Roughest Place in Town).flac
But this will not work.
Any other ideas?
Google search did not find any further information...
Thanks

Can anybody recommend a good, reliable high capacity SD card ?

I have over 1000 CDs ripped to 24bit/192khz and change the contents of the Pioneers' cards about once a month. The Samsung/Toshiba cards I have will only take 5 or 6 write cycles before giving up the ghost.

(I don't think they like having files > 100mb although I guess some cameras generate big files these days.)

Out of curiosity why did you rip the CDs to 24bit/192khz? Given the original 16bit/44.1khz does upsampling really pay off with the increased file size?

To answer your original question the Sandisk Ultra have worked very well for me and have been through many write cycles. I also have a fair amount of 24bit/192khz files and haven’t had any issues. The 256 GB cards are pricey.

Not Sandusky, Sandisk...oy, that's a typo for the ages.

Yeah, ripping those to 24/192 is a complete waste, and there is NO way Samsung card will only sustain 5 write cycles, more like 500 to a 1000.

All corrected, how autocorrect came up with that one is beyond me.

I have a pretty good Active Naim system and dedicated music server and would swear to you I can hear better dynamics and presence. Large discs on the server are not a problem these days ('m at about 8tb inc backups) and as well as any other consideration it's easier to down sample (e/g for the car) from file rather than reload from the cd.

Maybe I was unlucky with the Samsung and I don't know if copying 100gb of data in one go counts as one read write cycle or as many cycles as there are tracks for example a full 128gb card has over 1000 tracks , but this one has definitely only been copied less than 10 times . I'm going to send in back to see what they say.

I'm either going to change tactics and use smaller cheaper cards with more frequent swaps or try a biiger Sandisk. Not sure yet.

I have used several Samsung 256GB Evo+

They have been flawless, FAST (much faster than comparable Sandisk), and have withstood many, many re-writes.

Does this have the problematical loose headphone jacks like its elder sibling, the DP-X1A? Thanks.
