Yeah, only thing wrong is with the scanning issue once that is fixed then it's a good, compact and affordable little gem. It happens only with the 128gb card, but the 64gb has no issues.

I have no scanning issue from day 1 with my 256Gb card................scanning is always quick, snappy and issue free.

Feel bad for your experience..........just wondering whether it would be a card / card speed issue? And you certain the 128Gb card is the real deal? I do lots of online shopping but memory card is something I'd never buy online........too many fakes / relabelled stuff around.

Should be brought directly from Amazon and it always works on the xdp-100 and the numerous Sony players I have.

Has anyone located a suitable protective pouch for the 30R?

With Auto sync turned off it loads up the twin 200GB cards with no hassle.
I just received a cord for the Sennheiser HD800S headphones with a balanced plug but so far, have not come to any conclusion about the AQ of balanced vs unbalanced. Comparisons are difficult because, as I posted previously, audio memory is unreliable. By the time one has unplugged one set from the headphones and installed another cord, reconnected it, ... the sense of any differences (most likely very subtle) is easily lost.
Bottom line for me is the 30R the finest sounding portable player I've ever owned and matches up beautifully with the Sennie 800S.

Seeing some of these comments on scanning speed, does it make a difference what the formatting type is? I'm doing it in exFAT with a 512 k allocation...hope it works decently.

Wifi firmware update was easy. Running version 1.04/1741AEO

From Tassie Devil: "Someone please tell me how you get random play/shuffle on the 30R. Stuffed if I can see it as an option anywhere."

This is for the DP-S1; hoping the software is the same on the 30R.

For shuffle, from the play screen hit the 3 dots (in red circle below):

then you will see an icon for shuffle:

As far as I can tell, shuffle only works within an album or playlist. I have not been able to shuffle, for example, an entire genre. However, from "folders" you can place as many songs as you want within a directory and shuffle within that directory.

anyone has successfully connect DP-S1 to Mojo? or is it planned in the future?

Benbun, I'm using a DP-S1 with a Mojo and it works great but setup was less than intuitive.

Step 1: connect and power up the Mojo (via USB, since the DP-S1 does not have optical output)

Step 2: power up or power cycle the DP-S1 (otherwise the DP-S1 will not recognize the Mojo)

From the play screen, hit the three dots icon:

Then hit the icon in the red circle below:

Then you should be able to choose USB output to route to the Mojo:

Thanks. Can you please compare to Cowon's?
Cowon has a great EQ, Cowons EQ is top but this Onkyo is great but not better than Cowons. This Onkyos eq is better than and AK daps, iBasso and Fiio. Plus it has a bass boost.
