Would it not need a thicker battery to make use of the extra space? Or are you talking about SSD mods rather than micro-sd ones? I can't remember, but those are a bit thicker, no?

If there were a demand for it I'd expect some of those Chinese Ebay guys to start making something like that. There's quite a range of ipod mod parts now.

While browsing Amazon’s US prime day, I came across Samsung Evo Select 512GB microSDXC UHS-I U3 card for $61.99. While I don’t need another Terapod, I decided to build one. The card is listed as compatible on Tarkan’s website. Has anyone used it?
Also, has anyone bought a 3000mah battery recently? Was it 57mm x 83mm x 3.6mm? Any recommendations for a good seller on ebay?

The Samsung Evo Select 512GB microSDXC UHS-I U3 card on Amazon US seems to be working fine.

Has anyone used the iFlash-Quad or 3000mah battery from idemigods? Is the quad the exact same as Tarkan’s? Do you know the dimensions of the battery?

The quad adapter from idemigods seems to be Tarkan's. They said it was & it looks exactly the same. FYI, if ordering from US or Canada, it will be cheaper & get to you much faster than ordering from iflash.
The 3000mah battery they sell is close to the same size but slightly thinner than the one I had gotten from eBay a few years back. As a result, it's capacity is probably slightly less. Their cable however doesn't need to be folded back onto itself to install.

is it just me or is rockbox.org site down? Not only can I not get to the site, but if I google rockbox (or rockbox-related terms) I don't even get any google hits. It's as if the site never existed! Weird.

Edit - ah, the site has come back up again. Apparently it went down for a while for some technical glitch.

Just received my new tarkan adapter. Took me quite sometime to figure out problem with rockbox with quad micro sd iflash. The music file transfer lag and hang after a couple of songs transfer with rockbox os. Had to format and restore the ipod again and again.

Only solution is to transfer in official ipod os / firmware disc mode . Hope it helps if anyone stucked with the similar problem.

Anyway, converted my ipod video to ipod classic faceplate.

Only solution is to transfer in official ipod os / firmware disc mode . Hope it helps if anyone stucked with the similar problem.

Anyway, converted my ipod video to ipod classic faceplate.

So is that a capacitor "SQ" mod in there as well? Have never dared try that one (I'm not much cop at soldering).

Yes, bypass and replace the stock coupling capacitor for both headphone out and line out.

I gave up Rockbox because of that and it is to slow for flac files anyway. Have the same sd card setup and bigger battery, but not the cap mod, what kind did you use? Any chanse to see pics of the motherboard with the mod?

I used Elna silmic ii. 16v 47uf for line out, 6.3v 220uf for HP out. I did not take any photo for the motherboard, but I can link the guide to you later. Quite impossible to crack open after close the shell.

I found these cheap headphones that I bought 5 years ago and forgot about. The sound really great on the line out remote control! The bass is amazing on my old 5.5 version.
