And just to take up even more space, I've posted some more photos of the internal layout once the iPod had been put together and the final product, ready to send to a customer Notice how I have modified the headphone jack and hold switch to perfectly match the silver front and black plastic of the click wheel.

Hi, where did you bought the batter with the back cover? Could you please give me a link to a seller that sends worldwide? I'm italian.
 
I tried on super-ipod.com but after a week the product is still on "Processing" status...
Then I tried on ebay, at the seller canamyfly2013, I asked a refound, (because I think that super-ipod belongs to him) but still I have not my money back. Within the next week I'll ask a refound directly on paypal.

As a first time poster here (brought here by rgarjr who i know from other places) i was going to run a setup by you and confirm that all of my parts are going to work together, and i had a few quick questions integrated too.  Basically going for a 512GB 5.5g with long battery life that looks unique/special to all the others out there.

60/80GB version can't fit in thin U2 back....

Dont waste your money, this plate is not stratch resistant, looks very bad after few months...

Is the 32mb vs 64mb only a problem if i stick with the Apple OS? I was planning to use rockbox to get around the song capacity issues but am i going to run into loading issues still with only 32mb? Rgarjr didn't seem to think i would have a problem with Rockbox + 32mb.

I'm pretty sure RockBox doesn't care if you have only 32MB RAM on your logic board since it doesn't build any library file like iTunes does.  Have you ever used RockBox before on an iPod?  Some iPod users can't get used to the interface so they go back to the OEM fw.

I have never used RockBox before but i'm fairly used to manually managing my own music.  I had to do it from my very first mp3 device (Nomad Jukebox original) all the way through the Zune, micro, muvo, all the way up through getting into ipods.  I am really not a huge fan of the Apple OS so i'm going to give this a try and see how it goes.  Just downloaded it to check it out with a few thousand songs
