Surprised that Machina II/The Friends & Enemies of Modern Music by The Smashing Pumpkins hasn't already been posted!
 
I recently found this legal, free, album by the Pumpkins. I did some research, thinking a whole free album of theirs was too good to be true. I found out Corgan had planned Machina to be a double album, but was denied by the record company after the failure of Adore. So, instead of giving up, the Pumpkins still recorded the extra material, but only 25 special records were produced, with specific instructions to "Distribute online freely". Enjoy over 90 minutes of great music!

Edit: I wish they would have let a local audiophile with a good 'table do the needle drop. I haven't heard a LP sound like this since high school.

Not a fan but might check this out. I found a needle drop of a compilation on Archive a while back but its 320k MP3 so it doesn't belong here. Not sure I would call it good either.

I agree, I wish it sounded better. I'm looking around to see if I can find a better one, this album is all over the Internet, the issue is that the majority of them are copies of the same needle drop. And they take forever to download

Well I was going to say MDK but his stuff is all $1 now on bandcamp but free as MP3 on his site. One I posted above is chip tuney with some fast tracks. For some reason most of the stuff posted in this thread is the slower ambient types. I'm not great with electronic genres.

I have been following this thread for a while and have found a lot of cool things on here. 
 
I was wondering if anyone found some good Latin or Classical music downloads? 
 
Also, I have been looking for Christian Music in lossless as well.
 
I have found many bands like Skillet on Amazon and places like that in Mp3 and CD, but I wish I could buy their music in better than CD quality. 
 
I love indie Christian bands as well and was wondering if any of you knew of some good ones who had FLAC downloads free or buy? 
 
Just so you know, I love all genres of music and both Christian and secular.
