You're quite welcome. Miyuki is indeed an amazing lass. I'd probably say Android's Dream is still my favorite of hers, but that might be partially due to it being the first thing I heard from her. The artwork is amazing as well. I also reaaally like Fellow Citizen, and after hearing the new Aftersound EP I must say it does a lot of things for me. I love how each of her EPs and albums is so radically different yet always so high quality.

King Imagine — Mushrooms Says

IDM, Gitch

"Alexei Mikryukov aka King Imagine was born in 1972. His first song was sung and recorded at the age of 4. He began his career in music as a gutarist in the punk collective Zooy E Orchestar in 1989. In the same period some of the first bootleg recordings were made, all of them now lost. In the summer of 1993 he meets Eugene Alexandrov, with whom organizes The Schizotronics..and records solo. In 1996 together with the Kiev poet Danylo Kubai,he founds the noise industrial group Ilam, Inc. (or, rather a noise orchestra with 13 musicians, which gave an incredibly insane concert in the Kiev Actors House of Culture) and also the project Rooteniya Pe Since 1998 cooperates as sound engineer with the first Ukrainian reggae/dub group Rootmans Band, Karina Kuznetsova (with whom he works to this day) and the bass guitarist Kirill Machinski aka Roots Controlla, with whom he founds the digital roots dub project Dub Compressors. In 1999 together with the composer Alexander Kohanovski aka Pankifared he starts the studio project Superapes, recording 2 albums, making experiments with electronic and ambient music, as well as composing music for escalators, elevators and corridors. Since 2004 actively cooperates with Foa Hoka as sound producer, remixer and contributor of music. Since 2005 releases his output on the d.i.y. CD-R label SKP Records (Kiev). Since 2006 actively cooperates w/International movement Ukr.tele.kom — as remixer, co-author and remastering engineer."

Composed & Mixed & Produced By King Imagine
Betwween January — August 2014

Kasson is indeed a proud resident of Seattle. He worked at Harmonix as Project Director and Project Lead until recently.

Symbion Project - Wound Up by God or the Devil

"Wound up by God or the Devil" is the soundtrack to a movie that has not yet been made and will likely never get made.

this is an album that symbion project did not expect to make; this is an album that you probably did not expect to hear. encapsulated within are collisions of epic forces, chaotic sexuality, religious underpinnings, melancholy moments frozen in time, enlightened fragments of joy.

while taking 3 week respite from working on another full length symbion album and 3rd freezepop album, "wound up by god or the devil" literally burst into existence. moved by the epic nature of vangelis (blade runner, chariots of fire) & the retro/future aesthetic of wendy carlos (clockwork orange, tron), symbion project created a "baroque minimalist electro" album that could live seamlessly in 1762, 1972, & 2162. concerned with the non-dynamic, robotic stagnancy of current electronic music, along with the overwhelming nature of being surrounded by a studio full of synthesizers & blinking audio gear, this dynamic album was crafted using only a single 16vco analog synthesizer. very little was sequenced (except for the blazingly fast runs that bach himself couldn't do!) & almost all the parts were played in by hand. constant attention was given to exploiting & exaggerating the emotional tension of the songs through the use of dynamics, from the initial songwriting to the final mastering (analog of course).
