It's an acquired taste, but some friends of mine are in a band called Seismograph. It's sort of heavy/prog/metal/synths/experimental... Hard to describe really. Give em a listen

For anyone interested, All India Radio are having a free May where all albums are free to download to celebrate their 16th birthday...

According to their page, wired.com said "Since the turn of the 21st century, All India Radio has mashed the ambient-hop signatures of DJ Shadow, Tortoise and Thievery Corporation with the instantly recognizable guitar soundtracking of Ennio Morricone and Angelo Badalamenti. The resulting narcotic musical textures are capable of floating listeners to galaxies far, far away."

I meant to say I really like the Seismograph album posted above, thanks kraken2109.

I like the Neon EP by VERSA (specially Neon and Wanderlust), kind of a eletronic/experimental rock.

I'm kind of digging this. In some ways I'm reminded of Garbage (Shirley Manson-esque vocals, and also, a bit like the production on "Garbage 2.0"). There's also a bit of Cocteau Twins as well as Stereolab type elements. Pretty cool.

I engineered for them at a gig the other day and I wasn't completely sure about them, but then I found this recorded album and it liked it. They're on facebook/twitter if you want to follow them.
