Not being an expert like yourself, just wondering does the
(1) silver wire change the sound signature at all?
(2) Are there any other benefits (impedance or whatever)?
(3) Or it's just a prestige thing?
(4) And (if such info isn't confidential) then what wire do you normally use? Copper? 24 Carat gold?
Great questions
(1) We are not going to make any claims in regards to
A) sound signature
B) a benefit in impedance (or sound)
C) Prestige thing? Our stance is we are simply meeting a "demand." Some folks desire silver, for what ever their reasons are, and I'm not here to debate those reasons, negate or affirm those reasons. Simply put, our supplier has developed pure silver solder wire, and we can implement the wire in our designs.
(4) Depending on the product, we use copper and a combination of copper and gold in the internals. I don't make any sonic claims as to why we use copper and gold, and discussing as to why I use those materials may be giving up more information than I care to share.
