AFAIK acrylic has greater customisation options because it can be poured and moulded as opposed to the SLA process which is essentially carving the shell via a printer.

"Carving" is a subtractive process like a CNC mill process (Prestige CIEM) We start with a solid block of medium, wood, wizard wood, Carbon Glass etc etc, and mill the CIEMs into the shape of the ear (via a 3d scan of the ear mold impression)
SLA is an additive process. The below vdo is a SLA process for hearing aids
The traditional process = "Hand Poured" the acrylic resin is hand mixed, and poured into molds made from the ear mold impression. Hand poured allows for more options such as colors, fine glitter, gold etc etc to be added into the resin.
The disadvantage is time.
Hand Poured
SLA -
Advantage = time
Disadvantage = can not apply art work (not nearly on the scale of hand poured CIEMs)
SLA
CNC mill (all Prestige CIEMs are CNC milled)
Disadvantage = Time, some CIEMs can take over 24 hrs of mill time
Disadvantage = cost (due to time)
Advantage = a cool factor of 10
Advantage = Awesome looking
Noble has a tier system.
