Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

It is unfortunate that only 6 Wizard Savants were produced, I hope there are more in the future.

dibs!

Got a question, those one-offs, how are they priced usually?
A) normal price of Universal Fit
B) normal price of Universal Fit + Wizard design $200-400

I assume there's not much chance of being able to commission one-offs uh?

Got one audiologue related question: does the ear mold impression evaporate or ooze something out overtime? I had a set made like 2 weeks ago, opened the sealed bag to take pictures of em, my hands were all glistening from an oily stuff. They were pretty dry on the day I had em made.

Just received my K10U's today. They are much smaller than I had expected and the fit is perfect. Sound quality...WOW!

Question 1)   Answer B

Qyestion 2) Commission of One Offs are possible, but the wait time would be rather extensive, and if you wanted them "rush" then a rush fee would be applied and the shipping fees would be a deterent as well.

Shipping is done by bulk, meaning a high volume of universals are all shipped at once, if we were to ship one single unit, the shipping costs would go up.

A - you can't just simply half the drivers on a k10, as doing so would drastically alter the impedance

B - the k10 is a 3 bore design, the savant is 2 bore

C - the signature is also a method to distinguish a N5 from a savant as both the n5 and the savant have rose gold bolts

Haha, never said I knew much about BA drivers. :p

Speaking of B, though, does the number of bores necessarily denote the number of specific types of drivers in an IEM? The K10 has 5 types of drivers and 3 bores, which doesn't make for an even spread. In other words, does the fact that an IEM has 2 instead of 3 bores give us any insight on the IEM?

As for C, that make sense. So you're saying that all Savants will have the Wizard signature and not just preorder models? That's where my confusion came from (because I heard only the preorder models will have it, which seemed strange).

I'm excited to hear more about (and hopefully try) the Savant soon, I've been trying to get into quality IEMs for awhile now, and this may finally be the ticket!

That is the general consensus around here!  Well balanced throughout the spectrum.  Welcome to club!

In most cases one bore can indicate 1 or up to 4 drivers are connected to each bore

As far as savant wizard signature etc etc.... We may eventually engrave savant on the shell.... At this point we don't have a definite answer, all we can say for sure is the current savant physical attributes are

Black, standard univ housing
Rose gold bolts
Wizard signature
