Highly likely, plastics tend to do that over time, and on top of that the CIEMs are coated with lacquer. Lacquer (varnish) tends to "yellow" due to UV light exposure.

I'm offering a photo to help explain

Essentially the problem is, the drivers used int the K10 are too big to begin with, a recessed socket is just that.....   it is a socket that has been "recessed" into the interior of the CIEM shell.  There is NO ROOM in the CIEM shell to accomadate a recessed socket and 10 drivers

I think this unit is overly-emphasized in the low-end, tuned for a lot of bass, potentially with a mid-bass hump or two...

I just happen to like the artwork on the shell.

I have asked for my K10's in Light Smoke. It just occurred to me. Will these be a thing of wonder or is space so tight with all those drivers that it is a bit of a mess in there and best hidden?!

My K10s in amber and gold nugget look quite well designed. The internals look neat and compact. Not very messy if you ask me.
