By that measure, should the K10U be USD1,082 as it has 10 drivers compared to the Roxanne's 12? What then is the value of a dynamic driver, or dynamic driver plus ba's? What if your earphone has titanium tube bores?
I think its pretty clear we are not paying for the number of driver's. Instead, we are paying for the sound and we are paying for art.
Now, here we have 2 identical pieces of art, one customized to my own personal taste, the other is the universal, with the former likely to have a significantly higher cost structure than the other. Unless the cost structure is the same, i just find it hard to justify paying the same amount for both.
Not everyone wants to get a custom, because most do not see the value the premium required to obtain a customized earphone and selling one.
You're statement is kind of like saying, wagyu beef and australian beef should be priced equally, so as to not confuse the buyer. They are of different quality and have different cost. The pricing should be adjusted accordingly.
Tbh, the only reason i can think of, where one would price the universal equal to the custom, is to encourage the purchase of the customs. Again, the pricing of Noble's products is entirely Dr Moulton's prerogative.
Anyway, ive said my part. I feel like i'm hijacking the thread and disrupting Noble's business, it is after all the buyer's decision whether he wishes to make the purchase or not.
