Just snagged up the Khan from Stereo Electronics here in Singapore. They were running a promotion (20+%) discount on Noble IEMs, something I simply couldn't resist. I was wondering whether I should go for the Kaiser Encore or the Khan, but after auditioning them both today, I didn't hesitate long and decided to go for the Khans (especially because they were being offered at the price tag of the Kaiser Encore!).

I'm coming from a K10 and the difference was too small to justify the Kaiser Encore. I remember hearing the Khans at Canjam Singapore last year, and prefering the Kaiser Encore over the Khans, probably being accustomed to the K10 for so many years. Having had the chance to properly audition them in a more quiet environment, I'd take the Khan any day over the Encore.

Was slightly confused though by the marketing of the Khans as decending from the lineage of the K10. While that is definitely true for the Kaiser Encore, the Khans sound, in my opinion, quite different from the K10 .
The Khan and the Encore are two completely different animals, I agree. The Khan is also very different to the Katana though, more of a self standing creation than a direct descendant of either.

Very, very forward and dominating treble, somewhat dry though. Really good controlled, deep bass - similar to that of the Katana but better quality. The midrange goes to the Katana imo, the Khan is great but the Katana is special in that respect

I just got the K10U, and have been dreaming of the Khan. I would love to hear your thoughts on how they differ.
I'd highly recommend trying to audition them both side by side. It's more a matter of a certain sound signature preference. They both excel in their own way, and yet are completely different.

If you ask me, the K10U sounds more warm and intimate than the Khan (in a good way). The Khan on the other hand, opener / wide and more articulate and controlled. The latter reminds me much of much of my desktop rig (Stax SR-009).

Aside from the sound, comfort and fit is also equally important to me. I'd say the K10 sits very comfortably and are extremely easy to take in / out. They probably fit more people's ears than the Khan. For me, they both fit well, with a nodge to the Khan for a better seal.

Thanks for the info! I plan to demo soon.

Wow! Looks like Noble put some more Savant II up on the site, and they look killer! I especially like # 23, and it is very tempting with the sale!

I think those are custom universal Sages bro, not Savants :P

Never understood the rave around the Sage myself, used to own one but it sounded heavily congested. Midrange was decent but due to the congestion it became quite difficult ot appreciate.

The Savant just feels like a straight up upgrade on the Sage, and not a minor one either

Wait, that's my bad - Wes is correct yes.

The new lot is Sages, but they added some more Savants at the end of the Savant lot

Tru tru, my mistake

Hi all, I need some advice on eartips for the K10U. My ear canals are very thin, and none of the stock tips stay in. I've been using comply, but while those kind of stay in the seal gets worse a after a few songs and the bass disappears.

Does anyone know a good soft triple flange I could try? Or have another suggestion?

Thanks in advance!
