Decided to sell my K10 CIEMs...only to keep using my K10UA. Obviously, I really like the sound signature of the K10. The universals seems to suit my current needs a lot better though. Nevertheless, I'm going to miss the excellent seal the CIEMS provide!

Despite different seal, curious how they compare in sound?  Do you hear any difference?

Personally, I find the K10UA to be a bit brighter and more treble-forward, with a bit of a tradeoff in the bass region.  Tip, insertion depth, and seal dependent, of course.  Personally, the custom K10 sound signature is my perfect signature.  I wouldn't trade the K10s for anything, and I've heard most of the things out there.

When k10u was just launched I read several occasions that k10u seems bit brighter then k10 custom and the latter has a stronger bass impact. I guess that would be sue to sealing.

I own k10u before and now k10ua and to me k10ua has a bit stronger bass impact and a bit less brighter than k10u, may be that is due to the longer tube.

May be that is the case

bass impact: k10 > k10ua > k10u

brightness: k10u > k10ua > k10

Got my K10 pictures last week. Can't wait for it to be here.
I chose purple for the shell but the colour doesn't really look purple. Maybe it is because of the lighting.

Is there agreement on a nice cable for the k10? If anything, bringing out the mids a bit without touching the bass/treble would be awesome. However, aside from any perceived sonic improvements I would like something just nicer than the stock cable. Memory wire a must.,

I like my Norne Therium 8wire. It gave me a bit more transparency and brings the mid and treble out. No memory wire but very supple cable. Pretty sure you can request memory wire/ear guide with it.

I have the original custom K10. The best of the best. The Layla is good but when it comes to female vocal, K10 custom is still my go-to IEMs.

When it comes to vocals, it's very hard to top the K10, IMO. Lush, powerful, emotive, authoritative.. these are adjectives I'd use to describe its ability to reproduce vocals. Very impressive!

Btw: Wow, nearly 2 weeks without Head-Fi, and I've missed 30 pages on this thread. I've got to do a lot of reading.
