Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

have not seen any claims about driver count so on that point Sentinel92 had no basis to go there.

Profiteering above component cost is hardly a new concept (not that such reductionist protagonists ever give recognition to other costs). The majority of the world is based upon capitalism after all.

The most interesting point really is not people adding their own compass to pricing. Not new. Anyone who thinks this is only Audeze, HFM or Noble are merely showing they are new. The most interesting point is that Rotijon and Sentinel92 have made a number of serious allegations about build and craftsmanship which as a headphone audio consumer and 10-year member would consider damaging to the brand. The American constitution does not permit slander. If no libel complaint is made to Jude then forget anything else, that would speak the loudest.
so here is my honest, unbiased opinion : i consider the noble products a tad hyped (i won't say overpriced as most TOTL iems are) , i consider the noble corwd sometimes verging on the 'fanboy sheep' mentality and i find ludicrous noble charging 1000$ for artwork.

The credibility is lost by throwing out cheap insults. Unbecoming.

So, let me get this straight, according to the hype-immune missionaries here to lead us to the light:

1. Noble is evil because it charges for the Savant, a sound reproduction device, on the basis of its perceived sound quality, not its bill of goods?

2. Noble is a veil because they would not reveal the number of drivers in the Savant, and somehow, in not doing so "overhyped" it (even though, when the savant was first announced, one of the articles hinted that it had over 4 drivers and the good doctor damn near asserted in this thread that it did not)?

3. Noble is evil because their products aren't perfect and, when a mistake or problem is pointed out by a customer (sorry, but if you are a third-hand owner, you are not a customer of Noble's), they are willing to fix it even if it does not fall into the strictures of the warranty?

4. Noble is evil because they charge for intricate bespoke artwork on an audio product? (and Toyota was evil for charging me extra for leather seats when the seats do not make the car any faster)

5. And worst of all, Noble is evil because they make products that their customers enjoy so much they become "fanboys" of the company? No it can't be. It must be because their customers are all idiotic mules who see shiny colors and loose their critical thinking faculties. Can't be because they actually over-deliver on their promises and have amazing customer service.

6. Bonus: The fact that Noble's products aim to make music as enjoyable as possible, as opposed to as painful as possible (basically the treble doesn't burn your brain cells) may be somewhat problematic?

Am I missing anything? I'm not worried, if I am, I am sure my enlightened betters will continue illuminating my ignorance.

Would be nice if the new K10U offers different colour option, like anodised black.

Still, since this is a forum, and typing on keyboard is effortless, I am very much compelled to give my opinion, no matter how inappropriate, then shout "Free Speech" like a little girl, as I can worry less about the consequences.

Anyhow, this is free trade, you like it, you buy it, regardless of the profit they have made. R&D costs a lot, and QA costs even more. Dr. John was right, the profits they made are for assurance for the future. These earphones prove their worth not just over their brand, but their aesthetic (prestige) and their sound (everything). Of course, you have your rights to voice your concern, but don't you find "flaming" and attacking a little less rational? You could not get what you want (compensation, kneeled-apology, or whatever), so you resort to attacking.

But then again, we are all passionate in what we believe, and sometimes, temper flies without us controlling.

Ehhh

We tried anodized black.  The outcome looked like either

(1) aluminum painted with black paint

(2) plastic

I didn't like the results, if I wanted something that looked like plastic, I would have stayed with plastic and saved a lot of dosh.

I think I already know the answer, so the plastic K10U is now being phased out? Its going to be the aluminum only, then the lower tier plastic SLA ones?

The BUDGET SLA ciems are custom only.   currently no plans for a SLA universal.

Thanks

Touché.

I think I also missed the one where Noble's motives are questionable because one co-owner panics when the trade secrets of the company's newest product is spilled all-over an open forum and the other owner is willing to wake up before the roosters to engage the company's detractors (and customers) in polite conversation.

What?! Noble fans on a thread called 'Noble Audio - The Wizard Returns'? Absolutely outrageous. I'd've thought it obvious said thread was established solely as the playground for bitter trolls to pursue their petty, personal vendettas against the CEO.

Anyway, my eyes are truly open now - how did I never realise that my Wizard N4's clearly cost less to manufacture than I paid for them? Shame on you John Moulton & your crowd of burly henchmen, for brutally press-ganging me into spending 100x more than I could have at my local garage - they sell earbuds for £2.99 (about $4.50USD) - such fantastic value-for-money must mean they sound great.

Next thing I know you'll be tricking me into buying one of your pretty much universally praised K10U's by making the shell from some irresistibly beautiful, delicately contoured, shiny material. How do you live with yourself ?
