Hey guy! Been using this community for the past month or so to gain some knowledge on making first first dip in the water and quickly found myself going much deeper than intended and already on my third upgrade :) my wallet wasn't ready and nor were my ear! Rocking a set of LCD-X into a Valhalla 2 at the moment and ready find my next amp!

Just signed-up, ready for some good discussions :)
Have been following the YouTube channel for some time and now want to go all-in.

Right now I have the following equipment:
- Headphone: Hifiman Susvara + Audeze LCD 4z
- Amp: VIVA Egoista 845
- DAC: Rockna Wavelight
- Streamer: Innous Zen mk III

"End-game"???, NOO, we all know better than that ;)
But for now it is all I need :)

I am also looking for other people from Denmark to join a new local FB group.
It would be nice to arrange some local gatherings to listen to different equipment and to discuss in person.
So if you live in Denmark - please join here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/headfi.dk

Have a great day everyone :)

Howdy everyone,
I was involved in selling hifi equipment briefly 20 years ago and left it behind while I pursued life as a poor musician. I never really experienced the benefits of audiophile quality headphones but I am keen to get an entry level amp and headphone set up. I signed up to this forum as I would like to get my head around the technical aspects of amp, DAC and headphone matching. I would also like some advice about what a good entry level setup may be. I am thinking I would like to start somewhere in between a Grado SR325x and Sennheiser HD660S but I’m still undecided about open/closed back etc.
Cheers,
Matt

Hello all!

I‘ve always been an audiophile of sorts, but lacked the financial resources to fully dive into it. Now, I’ve got some money in my pocket and recently acquired a pair of Micca MB42x‘s paired with a SMSL SA36 Pro amp plugged into my MacBook Pro as a barebones setup. I want to expand into headphones soon and figured I’d join to learn more and, eventually, make an informed purchase.
Well, you are certainly at the right place to get all the information you will ever need. Welcome and good luck on your journey.
