Excellent imaging and clarity. improved soundstage over the 600/650 (but only by a bit) which makes it good for music AND gaming. Very easy to drive despite the 150ohm impedence. I can push them at decent volumes by maxing out my Galaxy note 9.

Only downsides are the strong clamping force which goes away after a few weeks and the fact that your ears will touch the foam and grill protecting the driver. The roominess of the ad700x and hd800s has spoiled me
Thanks. The soundstage improvement is very interesting to me. Maybe I need to try these. I like the 600s but something seems “missing” when I’m just listening with my eyes closed on the sofa. Need to listen more to understand it.

Cheers
Jonathan

Hi, I've come to this forum to learn about setting up my first headphone system. Is there a beginners guide or area to discuss as it all seems very complicated
Welcome, @ZeeW!! The best thing for you to do is to start a new thread on this forum and detail what it is exactly that you are seeking. Are you looking for just headphones? An amp? A DAC? All of the above. On the headphones, do you want open or closed? Or is it an IEM you want? What sound signature do you prefer? Bright? Balanced? Bass-heavy? Do you have a source already, such as a DAP or computer, or do you need one? Lastly, do you need whatever it is you are looking for to be portable or desktop? Ask all this and you will get a ton of replies. Lastly, don't forget to include a budget for whatever it is you are seeking. Have fun and good luck!! :-)

Hi guys, new to here. Registered since I could buy used gears here.
Welcome! Just a quick tip about buying and selling on Head-fi. You must have 15 posts and 30 days under your belt in order to use the classifieds section. This is not to hassle you, but rather, to try to mitigate the occasional scammers and trolls and such who sometimes try to infiltrate the site. So, for now, you should control what you can, which is your post count. Post away, and before you know it, 30 days will be up and you can buy and sell to your heart's content. Good luck. :-)

Greetings all! This is my first post...just starting the IEM addiction.

Kanas Pro
BGVP DMG

Possibly next up Sony MDR-7550? Trying to determine if this is going to get me anything radically different in sound from the two I already own.
Welcome, I was also started from the IEMs
