Thanks, Jonathan, I'll look into that. Mine got going in college when I lived on Broadway for four years in Manhattan. Yowzer. Back in an urban living enviro now and it is an issue (like it is right now!). Good luck to you as well. Be well!
Good ole NYC!

Thanks, you too!

Hello Head-fi,

I'm a 35 year old advertising professional living in NYC and I'm a (hi-fi) addict. Also a huge tech nerd and PC/console gamer.

Current gear: ad700x, hd660s, hd800s, aune x7s, topping d50, topping a30 + burson v5i, creative g6, and aune s6 pro.

Incoming upgrades ( because I need my fix, man): aune S7 pro and lcd-2c

Music: hip hop, indie, dream pop, electronic, and some hard rock.

I've been lurking for some time but figured I'd join and ask questions that more knowledgeable folks can answer.

Welcome,

How do you like the 660s? I'm a grad student in NYC and was just talking to a classmate about those after I lent him my 600s for a trial run.

Excellent imaging and clarity. improved soundstage over the 600/650 (but only by a bit) which makes it good for music AND gaming. Very easy to drive despite the 150ohm impedence. I can push them at decent volumes by maxing out my Galaxy note 9.

Only downsides are the strong clamping force which goes away after a few weeks and the fact that your ears will touch the foam and grill protecting the driver. The roominess of the ad700x and hd800s has spoiled me

Hello Head-Fi,
been a lurker of this site for a while. just joined hoping to learn more about the newer gear. I've been interested in audio gear for a while, from home theater to two channel systems but seems to notice that I listen to more music on portable gears hence being here.
current gear: shure 535 and ibasso IT01s. using LG V30.

Thanks

Welcome, @andbos!! Yeah, I listen more and more to my on-the-go rig as well. Trying to slowly upgrade it. I still listen to an old ipod Shuffle that I just love--ha! How do you like the IT01s? I love my IT01, but am not sure what the differences are. Good luck to you. :-)

Thanks. @serman005 Interesting you mentioned ipod, it reminds me that I still have my old ipod mini that I put a compactflash memory in it. although the battery in it is probably lousy now. :)
I just got the IT01s a few weeks ago, but if I remember correctly (while at the store doing a comparison between them), if you like the sound of IT01, then you may not like IT01s because the sound signature is very different. For example, the IT01s has more neutral/balance sound signature than the IT01.
