New Beyer DT1350

Does your current pair sound better than the pairs you had before? I recently repurchased another pair and I'm loving them, though I can't say for sure if they sound any different from the one I had before (and sold to you at one point).

Thank you to Focker for helping me to get the following information including pricing info:

I have emailed Beyer and here is how you can order your 1305N pads (velour) or the 1305SL (larger version of the pleather).

For US customers wanting the alternate beyer pads email: parts@beyerdynamic-usa.com

Ask them to email you an order form and fill it out and return it. Specify the above part numbers.

It does not state on the form but the shipping cost is $12 dollars. The pads are $34 dollars a pair (both models).

These parts ARE available in the US. Just not posted on the site.

I know for sure there is a difference in sound across the pairs I've had but I don't have the next set yet!

Wow please keep us posted! I still find it really strange and a bit disconcerting that the sound can vary so much across different models of the same headphone.

If you don't mind me asking what's your model #?

Curious if anyone has tried these with DT1350. They supposedly increase cofort, while staying away from altering the signature.

Not sure, just spitballing, but could these pads not be the same as the DT1350 suede?

Hmm... Instead of asking about this earpad mod, is there a specific page I should go to to read up on it? I'm interested

On the photo the inner diameter looks different (though the original T50p had slightly different pads as far as I know) and the description speaks of 'leather', so I guess these might be some of the old pre-DT1350 T50p replacement pads. The part numbers are also different from the DT1350 replacement pads (which, according to Beyer, also fit the T50p btw).

As I remember someone suggested replacing the old T50p pads with the DT1350 pads to somewhat mitigate their uneven sound signature. So transplanting those old pads onto the DT1350 might not be a good idea after all.

Using the 20% discount code "FALLHP" when checking out knocks the price of DT 1350s down to only $239.20 at www.sonicelectronix.com.

I've never seen them that low. I paid $254 on Black Friday, at www.headphones.com.  Even in Jude's Head-Fi TV #4 review of the DT 1350 he mentions that these are seldom discounted.

And Sonic Electronix is []=USA&user_distributors_pi2[country_filter][]=0&submit_ie=1&user_distributors_pi2[submit]=Find]a Beyerdynamic-authorized reseller!
