I've decided to buy them, they have really an astonishing good sound. Overall smooth transition throughout the entire spectrum, very good extension at the extremes, quick and full, detailed sound, and not an harsh note (my fear was the raised highs I've read somewhere around, but I think they are very balanced).

Thumbs up!

Great looking phones; cantsleep. How's the SQ? They sure are pretty and I imagine the weight savings is substantial!!

My take on the Glite is that it would allow the MS2i to remain more of what it is without adding any coloration!

......I'm the first to admit that I'm really new to the amps question, however.

I use the Gilmore Lite with the ms2's and love it ! I'm one of those that use tone controls whether my GL is hooked up thru my preamp or the computer and I do tone down the treble but I dont mind at all as it's a very dynamic amp.

the stock ms2i is certainly not a lightweight on your head. even with my older ms2, the top of my head would be in pain after an hour of use. fwiw, the rs1 were the most comfortable grado that i'd ever used and my guess is that the woodied ms2i would be something similar.

Before I decided to get a pair of MS2i, I had heard that a lot of folks had problems with the weight, so I did a test with my MS-1s where I added the extra 100gm of mass that the MS2i has over the MS-1 by adding a couple of sockets on the height adjusters and wearing them that way for about...oh, I dunno....'bout two months!

I got used to it, so that when my MS2i showed up with their much more thickly padded and wider headband, it was almost a vacation!!
