Back in March, or maybe in April, I wore my MS-1s to the mailbox one morning and an older woman smiled and waved to me for the first time!

Ugh, I can't wait for my MS2is to arrive. I'm already considering getting them recabled with Headphile BlackSilver.

And these really have to be one of the best looking headphones ever, right up there with the HP-1000s.

But honestly I love the look of the older MS-2. That straight barrel very similar to PS-1. And my idea of mod of course would include those what I have already done to my MS-1 AND an anodized black or even epoxy black powdercoat on them!!!

I very nearly went with one of the older styles myself back when I was trying to decide between MS2 and RS-2! With the black finish they would look very much like the early black finished SR-325s. So there is a precedence for black at that.

So far so good on the cable on my MS2i, not even the dredded Grado tangles. But what sort of sonic improvement, just out of curiosity, would be expected from the Headphile BlackSilver?

ah, the ms2. the pics that jahn put up on the first page of this thread are the reason why i got the ms2 and they were the first pair of cans that i bought with my first paycheck from my current job. i then sold them to fund the purchase of an rs1. seeing this thread makes me want to run out and get another pair of ms2i.

Ah yes; and like I mentioned back on page two or three of this thread, one of the reasons I planned on buying a set of MS2i, was noting how many folks had said after they bought and then sold a pair of MS2s, that they wanted to buy another pair to replace the pair that they'd sold.

These are nice friendly cans at that!
