Something that is universally hated cannot be called underrated.

can't be universally hated with SO MANY people wearing them...

In my commute on the BART (San Francisco Bay Area subway system), I see more people sporting BOSE headphones than any other brand - save the stock Apple earbuds....

I guess Bose around the ear and on-ear, along with the Monster Beats by Dr. Dre are very much overrated. They may not be popular here, but on the streets I see so many people wearing them, it makes me want to cry. So many people don't know what's good, so instead they follow the style trend. I think we all forgot Bose and Beats because we all hate it here on Head-Fi.

Any FOTM IEM. Best perhaps to ignore SQ assessments for the first 6 months of a phones release.

It also gives time for returns to start rolling in, and build quality to reveal itself.

Whoever says that RE0 is overrated are probably either not getting a good fit with it or do not understand what accurate sound is.

didn't really see what the hoopla a couple years ago for the Soundmagic PL30 and the RE2 was about...

and currently don't understand the rave reviews on the M6 and M9

I say Bose in ear... the silicon pieces don't fit in your ear and the sound is just poor at its price point... no wonder there's no specs on the packaging. The other iem that I find overrated would be the Sennheiser CX300 they have bass that is too muddy and they fall out of your ears.

My biggest disappointment has been the Sennheiser IE8s. After reading so many glowing reviews, and a few knockers, I was expecting more. To me, the bass is overpowering, and I was expecting them to be much more spacious. Currently, my Weston UM3Xs are exceeding them in this respect. Somewhere in the last 9 months that I've owned them, the UM3Xs have really opened out.

Stop confusing me, guys. I'm scared to go for the RE0's now
