I like my new nick name DENON BASHER (given by a guy who has only heard denons)

So far from the headphones that I have owned I find that the HD650 is the most comfy and I have worn them for 4+ hrs straight with no problems. I didn't like the denons because the leather pads made me sweat after about an hr or two of listening and the K702 were nice but the bumps got to me after a few hours also.

K701, by far, and 2nd ain't even close. I've never felt the discomfort on the top of the head that some mention. Put it on and forget about it.

-K601 (plus K400, K401, K500 and so on)
-DT770/ DT990 (not listened to the DT880, but they should have the same comfort)
-AH-D2000

The Grado GS1000s (as delivered with the oversize bowls) are light and wonderfully comfortable.
The Grado RS1s  (only with flats) also feel great (the stock regular-size bowls annoy me).
Sony R10s feel so nice, especially considering their weight. Other manufacturers should copy their earpads (and
physical structure)! Those black pillows are so soothing, you could almost sleep while wearing them.

Dishonorable mention: I had Stax Omegas for years and, although I liked the sound, found them really,
hideously uncomfortable and annoying, with the thin under-stuffed leather pads pressing on my ears.
And the space for your ears was shallow and the rough driver cover would sometimes rub against my ears.
And the headband was hard and pressed on my head.
A real bummer since they were
expensive when i got them new with high hopes back in 1999.

Mysteriously comfortable: Senn HD800s. They LOOK like they would hurt, but somehow they feel fine.
Amazing engineering-design job with that silly looking thin black rubberish surround.

All above IMHO, of course.
Thanks for reading.

HD555s from my experience. When I have a headache they are the only cans I can wear.
