with or without the paper towel mod ??

I actually removed my paper towel after I got the 3D printed honeycomb grills. The grills sharpened up the treble and widened the soundstage. The paper towel I think was softening the reflections from the metal grill and isn't needed with the new grill. As usual, YMMV.

Wow thank you I'm going to order them for sure and about pads? I've read many options but some are just too expensive compared to the m1060 price

thank you!

Try looking up vesper audio pads. Highly customizable, great craftsmanship and good price. I have them, really happy with the result and will order for my future headphones. D2000 are on the way. Sold them long time ago but after researching many closed headphones - no other alternative for the price was good enough.

I also tried the paper towel, but removed. The biggest thing for me ,was the grill change.

Hi All

Would you be interested in a high quality soft deerskin headstrap if it was made to replace the stock strap and fitted on just the same?

I ask as a company may develop one and I am trying to see how much interest there is. I know I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Please take part in the poll.

We agree!. I tried the mods, but for me, the grill change has been well worth it.

I am interested in the M1060's as I would like to try some planar's. I know audio quality is subjective and I have read people opinions and reviews etc. But how is the build quality? I was looking at HE-400i's but the QC seems to be a big issue.

Thanks!

The build quality is even worse than HifiMan

No issues with my M1060Cs either after my first RMA

I assume you mean the 1060c's are good?
No issues with my M1060Cs either after my first RMA

The 1/4 adapter is not great, the headband is only OK and they are a little on the heavy side.

They sounded better after a slight mod and can output some serious sound and very good low end. I am impressed.

I'll have some Alpha Primes to compare them to this week. DMS3 TV has trouble deciding between his modded set and a set of Audezes and leans towards the Monoprice. Not sure what Audeze they were.

I have been enjoying my m1060s for a while now but I would like to get a dac/amp for it.
I'm already set on the Micca G2 but I just checked amazon and they are not selling it anymore :frowning2:
Any advice on what I should do?
Should I try to buy one used or pay extra from another website?
Or maybe I should just get a different dac/amp idk :frowning2:
