I can confirm that Thummim + PW 1950’s is a divine combination 😃😃

Very timely message, I'm considering the 1950s for both my Thummim and LX, finally pried the Thummim’s out of my ears today to listen to the review pair FIR M5 and M4s that came in the mail today. First thing, the proprietary cables and connectors get a huge thumbs down on the FIR, I would have liked to use the same cables for the Thummim, LX, and M5, so not sure the differences would be less with the same quality of the cable. Just a brief listen, so nothing hard and fast, but of the three the Thummim has the largest stage in width, height, and depth, the LX and M5 were similar.

RVW's music is quite beautiful. I don't do much classical listening, but the British Pastoral stuff and Copland, Stravinsky, and some 20th Century stuff makes an ocassional ear-pearance in my home.

Maybe we should have a category added to iem and gear reviews -- Survived Mahler's 8th!!! lol

Yeah, I was listening to a 192 kHz Bruckner’s 4th, by the Berliner Philharmoniker, Finale, with the Thummim, and almost jumped out of my skin, when the timpani open up thunderously!!! The Thummim’s are outrageously good.

Found some new tips today for the Thummim, LX, and Eden, the Acoustune 06 for the former, and 08s for the latter two. They are very comfortable, and even more importantly, they sound great. Opened up the soundstage on the already incomparable Thummim.

Best tips for the thummim for me are those sticky xelastecs I think they’re called, and as of recently, the earhooks that @doctorjuggles made for me - it really made the thum click in my ears

I also quite like it with Acoustune tips, both the stock blue ones and the slightly larger blue and yellow ones (not sure which AET they are)

Would you mind posting a picture of Doc Juggles’s creation?

Also, @mvvRAZ , how do they sound with your Thummim and LX?

I wonder what’s different from regular hooks? @mvvRAZ ?
@doctorjuggles can explain this better but the turn is “sharper,” they’re made for smaller ears in a sense, so they properly wrap around my ear with the Thummim

@Wildcatsare1 I’ll update you on that in a few days! Most of my current listening time is focused on reviews as there’s a ton of gear to get through :)
