there is likely a lot more information available on their official weibo blog.I am more than happy to be proven wrong, I have great respect for L&P, they make some fantastic products. If anyone has any information on which opamps they actually use or if they are a custom design that they have made of thier own please post some info. It's because there is no info that I make a prosumption. They are also entitled to hide what they are using for IP, again let us know if you know that's what they are doing. iBasso etch off the markings on the opamps they use, they just haven't given them different names.
It is business and they will most certainly need income while they pour time and money into their next models.
It was more intended for people that already have a previous version that they don't necessarily need the next version putting themselves under more financial strain, as many of us do here.
I posted the specs before, and the Ti/HK should be beefier, component wise, compared to the regular one.Reckon it is like how the Sony team managed to make the implementation more efficient like they did with the 1ZM2/1AM2, even the amp specs were still the same?

I haven't come across any further info on their weibo blog or by searching on Baidu unfortunately.

Will pass on the message that folks would love to hear more details about their work. Hopefully in the future we can invite them to the CJs in Asia to begin with. Cos they do a fair number of talks about their products in the shows in China.I haven't come across any further info on their weibo blog or by searching on Baidu unfortunately.

Some lunch time listening with the LP6 TI AE and the UM Mest Mk3. After the pentiometer upgrade, it has been much better for micro control of the volume.
Unfortunately, my listening time with STOM driven by ti99 was rather short until today, because two other iem, first of all Prestige Ronin and then Trailli were dominating my listening experience with ti99 and both of them are as well dominating the ranking of the achieved sound quality in combination with it99.
In order to be able to make more reliable statements about the sound characteristics of the STORM with ti99 pairing, I will probably need some additional time. My early impressions besides the sufficient volume levels with volume setting 15 which I have mentioned earlier in this thread are that ti99 is able to make the STORM sing, not on a huge stage but rather with a smaller staging, which reflects a more intimate sound presentation. ti99 allows STORM to still sound dynamically, highly resolving and not too referency. In summary I am satisfied and I like what I have heard so far. The stage size that STORM can present depends on the size of the dap, the power of the amp section of the dap respectively. Further listening impressions will follow.

I've received my upgraded LP6gold almost a month ago. Now I've got everything in the best dap ever. The single issue this dap had for me was the problem with sensitive iems. Now it's gone)

Yeah... it is quite liberating not to have worry about not having sufficient micro control over low volumes. I did mine for both the AE and the LP6Gold. It opens up a whole new world.I've received my upgraded LP6gold almost a month ago. Now I've got everything in the best dap ever. What is the upgrade consist of? Is it just for volume control so you can fine tune the output level?Yeah... it is quite liberating not to have worry about not having sufficient micro control over low volumes. I did mine for both the AE and the LP6Gold. It opens up a whole new world.

I thought it is now open to overseas market? I personally don't have a need to change mine as I'm happy with it, I was told sonically it makes no difference, just better channel balance.Man I wish I could upgrade mine! China only unfortunately.
Hmmm I might have missed that, but I remember clearly not being available outside of China at announcement time.I thought it is now open to overseas market? I personally don't have a need to change mine as I'm happy with it, I was told sonically it makes no difference, just better channel balance.

No, that was the initial impression that @audionewbi had. It is open to anyone. I believe someone had asked Andrew for help in the US.Hmmm I might have missed that, but I remember clearly not being available outside of China at announcement time.

I remember now the impression was based on getting told by LP official that it was only limited to China. I was told it was only locally initially, and LP later decided to also include their overseas customers. No, that was the initial impression that @audionewbi had. It is open to anyone. I believe someone had asked Andrew for help in the US.

The way it was roll-out was very strange and unprofessional. I believe there was a lot of internal confusion from LP, mostly resulted from WebChat group. Thee WeChat group was terminated not long ago, not sure what the official reason truly was, but if I was now give my impression, and yes this is impression, it would be due to various miscommunication taking place based on the WeChat group.
LP needs a proper public relation guy for their overseas market, it is really messy.
@Kiats Maybe LP should start moderating their wechat, or be more in sync.
I got no access to their management to get VIP treatment. I was told to speak to their CS, i did so, I was told no.
You spoke to their big guys, was told otherwise.
I went through hell to repair my P6.
After all this, I'm still a LP fan, but I wouldn't protect their out of Syn and poor overseas customer care.
Their is no point in trying to hide where their is room foe improvement.
