Looking for a specific cable for a Hifiman headphone. 1/4" or 3.5mm -> dual 3.5mm dark cable with dark connectors. Basically going for a blacked-out kind of look.
The Openheart 16 core cable is almost perfect, and is exactly the type of look I am going for. link here.
The problem is I do not want to be reminded of open heart surgery every time I see this cable.
Is there anything else anyone knows of that might work? Being for headphones and not IEMs, bulk is not an issue. Also not looking specifically for a braided cable.

If you can get over the branding they make very good cables for the money - I own quite a few.
Just got a couple of new ones in this week:
FAAEAL Balanced Cable with double TS for things like Sennheiser HD700, Monoprice 1060, etc. I got the 4.4mm balanced for $16 for a Final Audio Sonorous III and they're really good. Soft cloth material, but not microphonic and I'll get one for the next HD700 I get in next week.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09XK862QJ/
Also got the Linsoul Tripowin Amber ($30 now, but got it on sale). It feels solid and has a small locking tab to line up the balanced ends. I don't know how solid it would be for someone active using a DAP though. Electrical tape wrapped a few times would seal the deal to keep it from coming loose of course. I test a lot of devices here (for function, channel balance, etc.) so just having all three modular plugs on the .78mm cable is a huge help.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BLC2K1RY/
For all things Hifiman I get the 6.6ft Youkamoo for $30 and they look great and never had a problem. I have 3 of these and the new black matte looks much better than the old light color ones. The XLR connector doesn't click like a Nuetrik, but it's not flimsy either. Especially nice when you get a pair for $100 on eBay and don't want to spend that much again on replacement cables.

I don't know if this is the right thread to post this .. but i just finished my first DIY cable .. i choose some cheap and very affordable components and the results are great with my iems for a first step.
The star of the show is really the wire it was from aliexpress .. a cheap 8 core copper for about 3 $ or so
.. the final resistance of each line after assembly is 300 milliohms for 1.25 meter
The mmcx connector was cheap and a nightmare to solder
i am planning to replace it with a quality one as soon as possible.
And i have a Neutrick 3.5mm right angle plug from some time that i used in making it and made my life easier
If any one interested i can post the link to the 8 core wire from aliexpress
As for sound quality ... Well ... Compared to the previous generic dirty cable that was ruining my iem completely ( 600 milliohms per line )there is a very noticeable difference in details , positioning and separation with added warmness to the sound
Edit : here is a photo for the cable

It's funny because if you directly translate "open heart" into Mandarin or vice versa, it just means "happy."Looking for a specific cable for a Hifiman headphone. 1/4" or 3.5mm -> dual 3.5mm dark cable with dark connectors. Basically going for a blacked-out kind of look.

Umm... How much was the SpaceCloud again?
The cable they use look interestingly and "eerily" similar to this one. About 8 USD for 1 meter... It should, of course, be cheaper if you live in China and buy in bulk
LINK FOR CABLE
I bought this Fengru, looks use the same SpaceCloud
Material, right?

NiceHCK BlackSoul ordered inadvertently when juggling stuff in and out of my cart. Whoops!

It's good cable, you will not regret.

Hello everyone. I write through a translator, there may be mistakes. I've read this entire forum thread, but I haven't found any answers, so I'll ask. Which is better, a modular cable or xinhs adapter?
https://sl.aliexpress.ru/p?key=6Gm9ZGI
I also pick up a cable for my iKKO oh10S, they have a V-shaped signature and they are very sensitive to changing the cable, I can't figure out what kind of cable will suit them and won't spoil the sound?
I already have a 4-wire copper silver plated cable:

it's not bad, but it lacks the thickness of the sound.
Thx

If you want a thicker sound, the NiceHCK BlackCat gives a boost to the mids without making the bass weak. It’s about $15 in the AliExpress sale. The cable you linked looks good, just not designed for making the sound thicker.Hello everyone. I write through a translator, there may be mistakes. Hybrid tips might also help, but not everyone likes the feel. Also the effect on sound is not entirely predictable. Penon have some that are great value.

Thanks for the example. I have 7 or 8 Xinhs cables, and the only one that adds thickness and mids is this one, but I don’t think it gives the thick sound you want. A smaller mid boost + some treble boost.
Possibly the Penon Vocal cable would be better than the BlackCat if you don’t mind the gold looks, but it costs about 4 times as much. And it might not even improve the sound more than the BlackCat.
If you really want to spend more, the BlackCat Ultra was just released. It is much thicker than the BlackCat, with better solder (apparantly). You might find that in the Ali Express sale for ~$25, and it sounds smoother than the original BlackCat and with a smaller mid boost.
Honestly, I’d recommend the cheaper BlackCat unless you want less thickness and more smoothness. In that case go for the Ultra. If money really means nothing, go for the Vocal.

^ I too have a number of XINHS cables and that is the one that I like the most.
It’s a surprisingly resolving cable that enhances midrange while keeping treble and bass extended without dominating the mix. It doesn’t actually make the sound thick though. In fact it’s very clear and transparent in how it handles transients.
It also has a blacker background than anything else I’ve tried in its price range.
