Testing another cable NiceHCK RubyCat, German copper. With discount voucher 23usd, nothing super special it sounds like a good copper cable. Good resolution and solid weight to the low end.

The Neon Pro is my first IEM to test a cable with, seems to be one of the IEMs I have changing the most with cables.

This might be the wrong place to ask, but does anyone have recs for super short usb-c to c cables? I'm looking for something cheap but flexible and sturdy to plug my Super X-Fi dongle into my phone.

Hiby did some that came with FD3. I'm not sure if they sell them separately. I also have some very sturdy Cygnet ones, they are bulletproof!

And the cheap b*stard trick : sometimes they send a black variant (see photos in the feedbacks), if you get a black one you can open a claim and ask for refund for receiving a different item than the one displayed on the product page = free cable (worked for me )

No, it's a USB cable, i'm not a believer.

USB carries a digital signal. Better cable may support higher current for fast charging or give better shielding for more stable signal over distance. Neither of these is a problem in a short USB cable between phone and dongle DAC. Esoteric conductor material has no effect here. Even 7N Rhodium plated mono-crystalline kosher copper dipped in unicorn droppings!

Some HDMI cables get similarly overpriced and overspec'd, "Why use a $10 cable when a $500 one will do?".

iBasso sell an almost 40 dollars usb cable as upgrade for their dongle, I decided to invest the half, and let's see if I can listen to any difference. I already experienced in the past some differences changing a normal usb cable toward my Fiio kunlun with a mogami based one made In China.

Did you do blind A/B tests ?
The power of the mind is strong, there's researches on this and a word for this but i don't remember and right now I'm laziness is too strong.

My budget is maximum 100$, and I just wish for it to be a good, durable, cable. I was looking at Hakugei Healer, Moondrop Autumn Moon, Hakugei Silver Surver, NICEHCK C16-3, KBEAR Enma 8 Core, ivipQ-93 etc. Is there any particular you might suggest that would fit my requirement.

NiceHCK OrangeSir is a good copper cable. Alternatively PurpleSE or BlackCat. NiceHCK C16-3 is also good but not quite as robust being 16 cores (very comfortable though). They have all just come off sale for under $15. The regular prices are much higher (it in fact stretches credibility the anyone buys them outside of sales). They should be back on sale at the end of June for the Summer sale on AliExpress. Alternatively look for OCC/monocrystalline copper at XINHS or I V Music stores. They are OEM suppliers and are often much cheaper than boutique brands.
