Currently I own a DT880 but I am looking to get rid of these for something more private.

I'll be mainly using this to listen to music on normal consumer electronics (PC,ipod/phone)

My range is around $200.

Right now im looking at DENON AHD2000 and BEYERDYNAMIC DT770 PRO 80ohms as my top two choices...

Anyone have other good alternatives? Ty in advance!

I second the Sennheiser HD280 pro's recommendation.
Most people who come from the beyers love their sound signature.

1time and earerror ideas both are good. You can choose to mod your current phones or upgrade.
I think the shure 440's is also a good option.

Wow you missed a big meet in the NYC area (White Plains specifically) a few weeks ago.

The best stores I know of in your area are J&R, AudioCubes, and B&H.

I'd also suggest the Audio-Technica ES7, which is more portable than the M50.

I absolutely recommend the Sennheiser HD 448s or Shure SRH440s (both ~100$) - and spend the extra on a a handy amp like the FiiO e7.

I have a review posted on the Senns if you wish.  I have a roomate who may be getting the SRH440s in the next month and I will be sure to post a review on that as well, seeing as one doesn't exist here on head-fi
