LCD-X and XC Update

The more I listen to this headphone, the harder it is to justify any further headphone purchases. It truly is a magnificent and superlative headphone. I am in love with the LCD-X.

Edit: Here is one caveat: should I be offered the opportunity to purchase a JAR600, I will grab that bull by the horns.

Which cable do you use with LCD-X? I'll posit Forza Audio Works Noir Hybrid as a strong recommendation.

Currently running Audiophile Ninja cables. Gift from the wife. I am going to look up the Forza Audio cable again. Thank you for the recommendation.

I need to get a longer cable for listening in my front room. cable must be a min of 4m. (My amp only accepts 6.3mm jack). currently looking at either this

Prices are basically the same, however one cable is made up of Mogami OFC Copper and the other OFC Litz copper... no idea as to the differences or even if they are basically the same construction. however if i am shelling out £££ i want to ensure i get the best value for money.

Custom Cans had a 2.5M Audeze cable in pink and turqoise on sale that I picked up. Waiting for it to arrive; should be decent. Their cable design allows for good performance over 2 metres, you'd have to message them for more information.

I have the shuriken series. Quite pleased with them. But I will get the cable that jonathan c recommended anyway. I am curious now to try them.

I'd owned an LCD-X years ago and loved it but had to sell, have just got a good deal on a used pair on Ebay but on arrival I realised they're the leather free version.

I'm assuming basically all of the measurements and therefore the EQ profiles are built using the leather pads, does anyone know of any significant changes to the FR with the leather free pads?

Will he eqing so was trying to figure out whether there were any adjustments I needed to make.

According to Audeze there is no difference in FR between the Vegan and Leather pads.

thats a considerable difference and doesnt align with what audeze told me.

Audeze provides measurements performed with KU100, the final result is different from measurements performed with GRAS
