share your eq!

It's still kind of a work in progress, but this EQ deals more directly with the kind of things that bother me the most, which is the ear gain and presence region, this could very likely not be to your taste since I'm really intolerant of shoutiness and what my ears perceive as piercing sharp peaks with vocalist and certain instruments in that region of the FR.

why do you have -13.5 pre amp when your maximum gain value is 8?

I thought that pre gain / amplifier should match the max gain used at any freq, ie -8 in your case. I might be wrong & happy to hear & learn from wiser heads :)

Because of the +2dB gain at 35Hz with the very wide Q value, that pushes everything significantly higher. I'm putting it with like I think an extra -1 dB of pre-amp gain because with certain songs, it can clip even if you put it exactly where it should be according to PEACE.

Im checking out your EQ now, pretty good! Question though, how does having 2 filters at 10K work? I tried toggling on/off the one at band 11 and it seems like its very small change past 10K. could be my old ears, but im not hearing a difference with band 11 on or off.

One of the filters is a HS filter, it works in conjunction with the 1khz filter to tilt the entire treble region, if you want to lower or increase the treble, I would just play with the HS filter at 1khz.

The other 10khz filter is from the EQ profile that i got from squiglink.

That's another great thing about the Tone Booster PEQ in USBAPP ... auto clip detect & preamp adjustment (tho wont auto adjust back up after bringing eq levels back down, but i can live with that). Wish Roon and FiiO PEQs had it.

• The Audeze LCD-X that I have owned hails from 2016. The foams behind the outer-facing grilles had become 'roughshod'.

• I purchased a replacement grille kit, for $40, from Audeze. The kit: new grilles, new foam, AND mesh (to go between the foam & the grilles). The procedure itself was easy, just required some care.

• The result: improved appearance 😊 AND improved sound! 🎼😜🎶

Sorry to bother, but at your earliest convenience could I kindly inquire from where you acquired the headphone cable? Thank you very much.
