Undoubtedly nice.  I have a Hiegi case for my PX200, though it's rectangular rather than that circular one made for the portapro.

Thanks for the heads up!

I had a pair of portapros in the bag in my pocket one day while working and broke them. The next day I ordered another pair and a hard case. No issues since. That's what I love about these, they're cheap enough to pretty much be disposable. If I broke my sennheiser hd580's I'd have a heart attack lol

Hi all! I purchased my first PP recently and I must say I'm pleasantly surprised by how good it sounds! The very present bass makes it a great headphone for modern/electronic music. However i find the highs to be a bit too thin and vocals don't come through as clear as I would like. I might try some modding later to try and rectify this.

The pair I bought is an older one, and I'm trying to date it. Could you guys help me out? I'm having a hard time finding information on the different portapro versions.

Sorry for reposting, anyone have an idea which year this version of the PP might be from?

Soo, i'm looking at some cables to replace the stock ones. Right now, i've founde these ones:

and
http://www.lunashops.com/goods.php?id=5102
And was wondering if anyone could suggest me other cheap cables.

As far as the PPs go, i really like them. These headphones have much, MUCH more bass presence than my se215. That means that using them with brighter sources/recordings yields the best results. The PPs have an incredibile ability in smoothing out harsh recordings, in fact they're making me listen again at some CD i haven't touched for months, because of the harshness of those recordings.
Also, despite being 60Ohms headphones, these little fellas are quite easy to be driven, even from my Nexus 5, that isn't exactly a monster of driving power!

Might actually end up trying the kramer mod, or maybe not, haven't decided yet.

I love my porta pro. I am using them way more than Brainwavz HM5. These are comfy and the sound is so meaty and open. The bass and depth !

How do YOu upgrade from these ? srsly. Is there anything like it except px100(which is not as comfy imo) ?

Now if they ever created wireless porta pro... it would be mind blowing. I would buy 2 or 3 times the price easily

I'm going to get a second pair of portapros to rewire. Years ago I had portapros recabled with a heavy braided wire and they sounded beautiful. the cable was very bulky and heavy though. i've seen on eBay the braided wire pre-cut for your portapros, but I figure if that's out there there must be a better option. i also want to terminate it with a 1/4" plug so i can easily use it with pro audio gear :D

PX100 is a step down IMO - i had PX100 before the Portapro then regretted not just gettin the Portapro when I finally heard them.
