you might want to try getting the files into wma lossless format then ? have you tried that. Most songs bought from itunes already come in apple lossless, so this may be the reason as to why you think it sounds better. I personally thoguht my zune HD sounded better than my brothers ipod touch and my moms 3rd gen ipod, but thats just me
