I found some info about the dx700.

"Victor JVC Japan today announced the HP-DX700 [JP], headphones with wooden housing for better sound quality. The device, which goes in sale in Nippon in the middle of next month, weighs 380 grams. It operates in a 5Hz to 30kHz frequency.

The HP-DX700 also features 64Ω impedance, an overpressure value of 101dB/mW and supports a maximum input of 1,500mW. It’s priced at $730 and is Japan only at this point."

Whad do You guys think about DX1000 in a context of my current system - North Star M192 DAC and Yamamoto HA-02 amp.

Im using it currently with Grado GS1000, but Im very interested in DX1000.

If you are considering the DX1000, amke sure you consider the Denon D2000/5000/7000 series. I'm listening at present to a DX1000 and a Denon D5000 and am not sue but may like the D5000 better. They are strong competitors.

Isolation IS better on the DX1000. But I don't buy my headphones based on isolation, else I'd get a Bose!
