I have owned my JVC HA-SZ1000E bass cannons for almost 3-months now, wow how time flies. Unlike some of you who changed out your pads for comfortability, the real endurance test is to force your ears to conform like I have with the stock pads. Since experiencing new nut popping sound that these cans will give me, I so rarely listen to speakers anymore, my poor speakers have only gotten maybe 4-hours of use since I got these cans hehe.
Is it ok if I call you Crazy Guy from now on? Because I'm gonna
Soooooo....speaking of your CORE use of factory pads, I have to comment.
So upon happy day shipment, I immediately put on the brainwavz velour pads that everyone and their goldfish on the interwebs said to get, didn't even try the stock.
Contentment. Even ecstasy, but then......
I put on one factory pad and one Brainwavz (partially cuz the velour, cozy as they are, are lint farkin' magnets).
Being used to the SZ1000s at this point, I'm listening to some music, and the bass in the factory pad is SIGNIFICANTLY louder. So much so, that I . checked the Pan to see if the audio was R/L unbalanced.
NOPE.
Factory pads= SIGNIFICANTLY more bass . (at least to my ears). And honestly, they're not as uncomfortable for me compared to the rest of the SZ goon squad's feelings. Actually, I'm not sure I can tell much of a difference, I wear these bassgasms for like 4-5 hours at a time.
Anywho, one man's opinion.
