Yep, that's pretty much for just the upgrade :frowning2:( . I don't regret spending 50$ on player itself, but such high prices of upgrades make me sick! What improvements will be done in the 19th version?

Yep, got the same e-mail. Still kinda ridiculous. Might just stick with MC18 or try out foobar.

Though I've been using OS X more lately anyway so I'll probably just stick to iTunes.

Are you guy on the mailing list? Or whatever? I received an email with a link to preorder the MC19 upgrade for like $18 and change.

I received the same E-mail and it even state that MC19 will be the same as the MC18 for the first early releases. There are some changes I would like to see but have no idea what will be put in for MC19

Will only upgrade if there is some improvement in the Audio department which I doubt....as it is already that good(esp.with Fidelizer).

Hmmm... I thought I was on their email list, but the last message I got was on March 28th about a stable Windows MC18 release... Sounds like I need to jump on a different distro list.

EDIT: Just looked, appears there's a way to have your email removed from the mailing list, but they just include you on the distro whenever you give them your email... Weird. They don't send out tons of annoying emails, so I would like to get them when they send something out.

I bought it too for ~$19. I never upgraded to 18 from 17 so I guess it's about time. I feel like upgrades to newer versions should run around 10 bucks. $20+ seems a little high for those that have already bought the license for a previous version.

My thoughts exactly. I just bought MC18 a few months so this made me a bit pissed but I bought the new one anyway because I really like MC and want to support the development.

JRiver pricing is really fair, IMO. Not so much companies allow you to install the program on as many PCs as you wish for 2 weeks, let alone the possibility to dot that 10 times a year...

But if it's a PC with a different operating system you're out of luck....
