Yes. The Solo can output USB Digital and the JH-3A will accept USB Digital.

You mean RCA coax out (solo) to mini coax in (jh3a)
The USB port on the solo is for input from an iPod - haven't read/heard anything about it doing USB out as of yet - please correct me if I'm wrong and post a link for all our reference

I have no idea but they are quite rare (because almost no one needs them). Look around.

You can also order a cable from Blue Jeans that has coax at one end and a mini at the other.

Its where I got my coaxial.  Didn't know I would need a mini.  Sounds like headroom is my best shot.

Not mono or stereo, but digital (1s & 0s)

There is both mono(2 pin) and stereo(3 pin) jack used on coaxial cables, but not sure if there is any differenc between them.

But it has to be a 6th Generation or later.   I mistakenly bought a 5.5 iMod in the hopes of using it with the Solo and JH-3A, alas......   So, now I have the 7th Generation Classic waiting......
