edit: there is very little going on with the internal crossover, surely not enough to suggest that each earpiece is individually tuned... I do not see why you couldnt put these small beads into an adapter
I think you might be surprised, I suppose they could be also doing it with the filters instead of the values of the SMD caps and R's used in the XO, but they ARE tuned for each person, depending on how deep the impressions go, how much air there is left at the end and what shape the cavity is there will be a different FR
