OK. I'll take the counterpoint.
All headphones and cables require burn-in.

Virtually everyone will agree that you will experience burn in.

Odd's are good that due to the nature of balanced armatures, that's "brain burn-in" but from my point of view there's no point in distinguishing "real" and "fake" burn in.

Heh.

I should have mine tomorrow. I'll be burning the midnight oil regardless of my burn-in beliefs.

Just received my set this afternoon. I was worried I was going to have fit issues but there's no discomfort at all and they sit pretty flush. Sound is fantastic as well; I can totally see how people were raving about the bass. Haven't wiped this grin off my face since putting them in

Fitwise I feel completely different depending on the times of day. Usually morning time being best and too tight at night. Is this normal?

it is normal, our ear canal are slightly smaller at night.

Well, an issue has arisen. My other headphones are muddy sounding now.... which is a slight problem I guess... The iPod buds are definitely going to be pretty poor sounding when I go for a run and wear them...

There's only one solution: stop running and become a music listening couch potato!

Received my Twag cable for the JH-13 yesterday... on first impressions, its VERY nice.. the connectors stick out a big further before you can bend them around the ear then stock, but its not too annoying

Sound makes up for it though

the bass is snappier/punchier .. more impressions later when I get more time with it

I've been listening to my backup pair of UE 11 (long story, yes I have 2 sets) and the backup set fits so well and the sound is so amazing, I'm getting nervous that the JH 13 won't be as good or better than these. Long story, I had fit issues with my first pair of UE 11. Had to get 2 sets of molds, sent them back 7 times. The 7th time the came back and fit perfect but in a completely different color than they should have been. Janet at UE said screw it, if they fit keep them and we'll make the right colored ones. So I got a second pair at no charge. Anyone know if JH has this type of customer service?

PS My normal pair of UE 11s are not nearly as good as this backup pair despite just having had UE do maintenance and repairs. ????

It was on UE's part hence the two pairs. I had my UE 10s so I didn't really know how much better the 11s were over the 10s until I got the perfect fit. Fit is really really important for an IEM.

I just called JH to ask about a fit issue and when the first person didn't know how to help, she went and got Jerry to speak to me. He was very very very helpful. I have never had such great customer service ever. What an absolutely great place to do business with. So, ChicagoNB, I highly doubt you will EVER have issue with their service.
