I guess part of the fun, maybe most, is the journey but frankly for me, if it is about music, which it is, I would just buy the JH13 Pros.

Im thinking about ordering mine with the ''ambient vent'' feature, What do you guys think about it ? The idea is to use them sometimes as an open can..
Sometimes I feel claustrophobic using headphones and I just need to hear the outside world for a moment, but at the same time I still like to listen to music. And sometimes I just cant be isolated .
Does this feature can change the entire song signature ? Does it come with the 'plugs' to cover the holes when I want to get a full isolation ?
Will the SS suffer alot from this 'air holes' ? What else I need to know about this feature ?

Before ordering,I asked ZacPenrod@JHAudio the same question about the ambient air vent, quote from Dec.10.09:

"As far as the ambient vent, we don’t advise in people getting this.
It’s more for musicians who don’t want complete isolation when performing. At this moment we don’t have plugs available for the ambient vent and I’m not sure when we will be getting any"

I ride a motorcycle and have a 10db hearing loss from normal.
('Normal' being an average hearing graph of 2,500 18 year olds!)
The audiologist thought it might be worth looking into, given the tight sound isolation coupled with capacity for volume on these things...

I didn't check off that option, ambient seems to be better suited for stage performers.

I have using my 60" UE-10 cable with my 13's. The only problem is that since the 10's are recessed and the 13's aren't (they should be), I once dropped my right earpiece on the floor with the alternative cable (13's cable is to short for me and I don't like the lack of built in memory wire over the whole ear).
It appears from the pics that the Twag cable has longer pins.

Anyone with both can confirm that? Is it nice and snuggly wuggly. I'd hate to lose a side in transit. What's the sitch with the memory, if any, over the ear with the Whiplash cable.

Maybe a little bit of Loctite is in order.

I had the same problem with my stock cable^^ thus I made my cable with larger pins. pretty sure he uses transplanted stock connectors at this stage, but better ask craig, not sure which brand

yeah, i honestly think it depends more on how well your impressions are taken, and not just luck, so hopefully my old lady who knew everything audiologist pulls through for me

Even my best impressions, they still need to refit. Sent them back along with the poor original impressions (the 1st one) last Monday.

Once they recieved, they said it better than the originals impressions(the best) they've got.

So i think it depends on both impressions and the process that how they made.
