I almost pulled the trigger on this a month ago but decided to wait. Can I ask what the material is? Is it that hard plastic from 3d printers or softer?
Its polyurethane material same stuff they use to make vegan leather, soft and stretchy with one side textured similar to leather. I have 100% guarantee with it, if you are not happy with it I provide a full refund.

Notes along the way: i have no hair, after 3 hours of listening, Noire's headband starts to announce its existence on the top of my head a little annoyingly.
We'll see if we can come up with some additional padding. Has anyone seen DIY solutions for this?
Otherwise, Noire X is quite comfortable on the ears even for longer periods of time.

Just reverse the strap on the headband as simplest solution for hotspots.
Done, as it is completely flat on top...= no hotspots.

Just placed my order after having a quick listen to them. Recently sold off all of my headphones/earphones and settled with AirPod Pro 2 for general stuff. Hoping the NX will serve me well as I’ve committed to myself to keep them at least one year 😂

Looking forward to testing these out..took a detour from HFM R10p based on one recent review of them being super wonky...it's a tough one to tune closed planars to a degree of balance..seems they have to have a skewed FR in open-back form as it were so when its cupped - that all evens out with the FR lifts and dips on cupping them...but not that simple obviously, since neither HFM or Audeze can achieve relatively balanced closed-backs despite their tech know-how.

Looking forward to your impressions, and I'd sincerely appreciate a comparison to the Meze 109 Pro, if you have any relevant experience.

FYI this was covered a week or 2 ago. It is really apples to oranges comparison, as the 109 are open back and the X is closed. Soundstage wise, the 109 will crush the X. My recollection is that the 109 is warmer, the X more detailed. I’m actually going to be getting both, for different uses.

The 109’s must have a very wide stage. I do not feel like I am missing much with the NX compared to the HD800S.
+1
