So here's something from my side about the Noire X
My first thought when I got it?

Probably too much in the low end again
I'm not a fan of too much..because it's not suitable for long-term listening via headphones
I put it on my head and pressed play.... and then I thought to myself
What is going on now?
The low end of the bass is much faster than the Stealth and the E3...a miracle has happened...after all these years of the bloated range...no sign of it anymore..well done👍👍
That's exactly how it should be...not too much...not too less
I don't need to say much about the mids and highs
Here Dan Clark Audio was always been ahead (he only ever had his weaknesses in the low end)
(Except for Corina....these headphones went completely wrong🙈😝)

From a purely acoustic point of view, the NOIRE X is probably the best of all DCA models...and that for 999 USD...Unbelievable🤣
(And every acoustician in Europe will see it that way when he listens to this headphones)
Friends Christmas is coming soon..... make yourselves happy and listen to this model...because if not you are really missing something
When I think 999 USD.....I can immediately think of 20 models that cost twice or three times as much and have the disadvantage here

I really can't tell you how happy I am personally....that I finally have a DCA that plays fast/hard and punchy in the low end....and not soft
I wish everyone a lot of fun with the X...or at least a lot of fun getting to know this model
Who would have thought that a model for 999 USD could excite me so much...I would not have thought it before😆
But unfortunately we live in a world where the more expensive must always be the better
Take your time...listen to the Noire X and you will realize that this is not always the case 😉

NOMAX

PS.plug and splitter looks and feels also better as on the Vivo Cable😉

Nice to see trickle down tech and new closed models. Plus it does look nicer than the E3 to me.

Next time when I come to Vienna I'll let you listen to them...you'll be surprised too 👍

PS.He really hit the mark with it for this price 😉

Positive review from ASR? I am not sure if that is a good thing or a worry. Otherwise seems interesting and well done for keeping the price sane.
why would it not be a good thing?

I'm seeing images of this headphone with the WA7... so tempting as I already own this amp!
The Gen 3 has a lot more power than older versions, that should be OK as long as you're not tyring to play techno at 120dB.

Wow nice to see this tech trickle down to the 1k Mark.

The question is, what about clamp force stronger than Stealth\Expanse?
It seems to use the same headband as stealth and Expanse, therefore it should be able to use the clamp force kit!

Ordered because of this line right here , thanks NM

As I said, this is the best bass/the best low end of all DCA models...because it is not exaggerated/overdone but still enough 👍
(Now faster...punchy....harder)

why would it not be a good thing?
They tend to be a bit narrow minded and negative in general. Bashing many products I (and others) like quite a bit and praising the odd products that I dislike. I just cannot take them too seriously. The other two positive reviews are definitely promising though. I haven't had much luck with DCA headphones previously but definitely will check this one out when I get a chance.

Seems like I'd prefer the Expanse tuning for the same reason you prefer the Noire X.
It's good to have options though.

I assume the reduction in the Bass helped with sensitivity
