Not bad! Does it still come with the brass and copper filters? The bassy ones? Mine still haven't shipped unfortunately...

As Bob told me, he would start sending them this week.
I would like to know more impressions before mine arrive..

Oh great! I saw them missing from your set there in the picture and got a bit worried. Did you have the R1? If so, how's the bass in comparison?
I'm more of a rock fan than electronic/rap etc. but I do love my stuff to sound rich and full. Really sounds good with videos at work lol!

Can anyone who has done the orange mod compare it to the pink filter sound?

I have spent very little time with the Pink filter but I tried the Orange Mod. I would describe it as an extreme V sound. The bass is booming. You really feel the sub-bass in your head. I love it. The treble, however, was too out of control for me; sometimes actually unpleasant. Certain tracks sound just out of this world with the Orange Mod. The sound-stage is indeed massive. Adele, in particular, was just awe-inspiring. Unfortunately, for me, for too many other tacks the highs were simply too fatiguing for me to enjoy. ChrisHeld told me, after the mod, that he primarily listens to electronica and said that this combo might not be the best for rock music. That's for sure. I'm back to the straight copper filters.
P.S. the mod is easily done and easily reversed if you don't like it. Just make sure to keep the white screen from the Orange filter safe. I'd love to hear what someone else thinks about the sound!

are the new filters the same as the old ones? So I can just use one of the old for this mod.

You mean are the Zenith filters the same as the R1 filters? I assume yes. This mod is for the R1 though. Results will vary if you put these on the Zenith.

I already have the R1s and I'm waiting the Zenith. I was just saying that if I'll have 2 sets of identical filters, I can mod 1 pair of orange in order to have 6 "ready to use" filters for the R1 and the default 5 for my ZenithYou mean are the Zenith filters the same as the R1 filters? Color will vary slightly from screen to screen but: Left is Copper (Gold) right is Orange.
These are R1 filters.
Also, the orange filters are the ones with a hole!

Right. Except that you take the foam out of the Pink filters and put them in the Orange. So you alter two sets of filters.

I thought the black filters treb was a little much, but I think I'm sensitive to highs.
