Probably not gonna happen until he make all the exchanges to the 801 customers, that might means in three batches' time.

I see the DX100 in your inventory. Naturally would love to see a comparison between the two. Before you do though, I'd guess you'd be burning in your HM-901. Whilst doing that, mind giving your thoughts of the DX100 first so that we may have a clue as to what you like and what you're looking for? At least personally to me, that'll give me a baseline when your impressions when you are ready to review your bedded-in HM-901.

Argh ...yes I was. Luckily in checking his profile, he has the DX100 too thank goodness the question still applies.

Hi, yes I am in HK. And yes the 901 is going thru the burn-in.

I listen to classical, bit of older generation pop, and some local pop as well.

DX100 to me is more neutral than the 801 that I sent back to HiFiMan, as one of the first hundred 901 upgrade. For symphonies and comparing to 801, the DX100 seems to give a wider soundstage and clearer separation, by which the space between instruments sounds more apparent. In terms of details, DX100 also provides more texture in the music for me.

Forgive me that I am unable to give a more elaborate description of the DX100 sound. I will try my best to tell as much as i can on the 901.

However, I am not young anymore so pardon me in case I can't hear the difference.

Thanks, I'm glad to see someone from hk is on headfi too, I spent my childhood in hk. I honestly don't think I want to go back though because hk is way too crowded and hot, the air is also bad. Now I'm spoiled by the bay area weather LOL...
